In Somaliland, our Frankincense comes from the Sanaag Region, where approximately one third of the population lives. In this region, Frankincense harvesting is the main source of employment. Through our sourcing initiative, we work directly with harvesters, cut out middlemen and provide fair wages and on-time payments. 

Most recently, dōTERRA Healing Hands™ donated over $3 million for the development and construction of the Sanaag Specialty Hospital. This will provide access to life-saving services for those living and working in the heart of Somaliland’s resin-harvesting area, for the first time.
